With the recent rumors of an Apple Tablet Mac of some sorts, it got me thinking. Could a $599 MID, complete with Pinch touch, a full browser that can do Flash and Silverlight, that gives an inch or more reading area, a local positioning system so travel maps can be pulled up in an instant, and animated weather maps are at the touch of a button, could all this ignite the small computer market again? And toss in iPhones relatively long battery life and fast restore for sleep mode. And then toss in transparent Wireless broadband exchanges with WiFi. I think so. There's nothiing that would be close to this on the market.
I know I'd stand in line for such a device. And I imagine many other woudl too.
Oh, and please make it an open platform. One that I can write real apps for.
