| Apple Safari for Windows Apple made Safari for Windows beta available for a free download. At the same time, Windows Live 2.0 beta was installed on my Gateway Tablet PC. My initial thoughts on Safari are posted on Technology Questions; however, there are a few issues I have run into with the browser. Not keeping the login information on forums is the biggest challenge. There were also problems with page layouts. Is Safari faster than other browsers? My Tablet PC is running very slow under Vista. There are moments of speed but the hard drive is accessed too often to determine if the browser is running faster or slower. Regardless, the browser experience feels different - maybe faster. Once last thought. The fonts are not smooth. There is a preference option for changing the fonts, but this did not work well for me.
