One of the staples of the Tablet PC Community has been sold.
Tablet PC Buzz is one of the oldest Tablet PC forums.
Years ago, I thought the Tablet PC market was coming to a close. All of the reorganizations in the Microsoft organization was the root cause for this belief. However, more OEMs continue to enter the market and the latest news regarding the Dell Tablet PC even supplies more evidence that the Tablet PC market has arrived. The UMPC market blossomed last year, providing an even greater reach for Ink. Finally, Windows Vista supports the Ink function.
The purchase of Tablet PC Buzz is good news and will give an even greater access to Tablet PC information.
Hey everyone! I’ve got some major news here that affects both my future and the future of the Buzz. I’m announcing this morning that I have sold TabletPCBuzz to a well trusted name in the Tablet PC community, John Hill at Allegiance Technology Partners. It was a tough decision for me to sell, as this site has been a huge part of my life since I started it way back in 2002. The opportunities this site has opened up for me, and the people I’ve met along the way have just been simply amazing. The time has come in my life though, where I need to spend my time focusing on other efforts, and I can no longer give the Buzz the attention it deserves.
So, it is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to this site and this amazing community. I thank you all so very much for sticking with me through the good times and the bad! We’ve seen some amazing technological developments over the last 5 years, and I know the world of Tablet PCs will continue to be an exciting place for years to come. John will take good care of the site I know, and he will make it a community even more exciting to be a part of. The transition of the site over to his control will begin today, so there will probably be some downtime associated with that. Me, I’ll probably still hang around a bit, I still love my Tablet PCs! My best wishes to all of you out there who have been a part of this experience with me… you’ve been amazing. Thanks for the ride!
