After I posted the screenshots of check boxes in Windows Vista, Peter asked if
check boxes are in Microsoft Outlook.
I could immediately picture check boxes in my Hotmail account, which save the day when deleting spam.

But even though Outlook is one of the top applications that I use, I could not picture whether there is a check box option that I could enable. Love the idea, though. So I opened Outlook, did a search - nope, couldn't find an option to turn on.
What to do? Ask Mr. Outlook -- Josh Einstein of
TEO fame -- of course! Josh was on IM and within a minute he sent instructions to me on how to multiselect consequtive emails in Outlook and sent over a screenshot on what to look for. Thanks, Josh!
Josh passed along a great tip. The cursor switches directions so that you can actually multi-select emails without having to use the Shift key.
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2007 in normal view mode
- Move cursor position to the left side of the mail envelope and the right side of the divider, and the cursor direction switches to point to the right.
- Now, drag the pen or mouse position down et voila! you can select multiple emails.
