 Samsung officially announces Q1 Ultra Electronista has some details about Samsung's announcement today of the launch of the Q1 Ultra UMPC. More details about the Q1 Ultra are popping up around the Net. I had a chance to check out the Q1 Ultra at Mix07 and it looked good. The split-QWERTY keyboard on the case would take some getting used to, and the performance seems like a step down, but for the mobile-minded it's probably a step in the right direction. I didn't get a chance to check out its boot time--something that the Q1 isn't so hot at. The price isn't too bad: Starts at $799 and will be available at Best Buy, Circuit City and so on. Update: Gottabemobile has a bunch more specs here. Notice, for instance, that the $799 model sports Windows XP and that the version with HSDPA hits $1499.99. Incremental Blogger      |
