 Video of 2008 UMPC prototype TexturaDesign provides a video clip of Intel showing off a prototype UMPC that it expects will hit the market in 2008. The UMPC is less than a pound, slideout keyboard, connectivity (no WiMax yet), touchscreen, cellphone batteries, uses the Menlow platform with Silverthorn (45nm) and Poulsbo. What a mouthful. Nonetheless I watched the video four times. It's worth it. Did you notice the time it took to boot XP? Two minutes it looked like, although kind of hard to tell. Incremental Blogger      |
