 Newish C3500 Owner Hello all, I’ve had my C3500 for about a month now. After the first week of use I started having problems and the unit is currently on its way back to Averatec  . I think the unit has a bad hard drive. It worked okay for about a week (kind of slow) then it started freezing up. I was able to run Check Disk (Scan Disk) on the hard drive and it found a lot of errors. It supposedly fixed all the errors and when I rebooted the unit was working. A couple days later the same thing started happening. I ran Check Disk again and it found a ton of errors again (many of them looked like repeats  ). As before upon reboot the machine worked fine. This time it only worked for a day though. After it froze up I powered down and let it sit overnight. When I tried to reboot I kept getting the following error:A disk error occurred Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart I tried running the recovery disk but they didn’t help. In fact they didn’t even work (I don’t know if that’s the disk or a hardware problem). Anyway that’s my story. Hopefully in a couple weeks I’ll get the machine back from Averatec and everything will be all good :D .

| i'm begining to think alot of the problems are temperature related, as when my c3500 gets too hot or too cold seems to be the only times i encounter problems, but i bought a cool pad as soon as i got mine so everything usually runs great, but it does get really hot other wise |

| i just got a cheap one off of ebay, not even sure what the brand was, but the fans are pretty good, i havn't really noticed whether the averatec fan still comes on alot or not, but it keeps the notebook cool. like i said in the above post i do have problems when i leave it on for too long, it gets really hot at first but then i start having problems. and i've also had problem before, i left it in the car and it was really cold, when i brought it in i turned it on and i had problems with it because i guess it was so cold |
