New C3500 BIOS Has a Problem! Need to revert!

The new C3500 comes with a BIOS dated 9/11/04. This BIOS crashes everytime any drive recovery utility is booted from CD. This includes Acronis, DriveImage, etc. The old BIOS dated 7/03/04 works flawlessly to boot Acronis and PowerQuest. How can I revert my BIOS back to the old version? Does anyone have the old BIOS saved somewhere? Averatec technical support is worthless. They seem to think that the Recovery Disks will fix the problem. The recovery disks restore the hard drive, not the BIOS! Worthless.

I emailed Averatec about the old BIOS version and they sent me the files.
I have set up a wiki with information regarding my progress, and the files
are linked near the bottom.

I can't seem to figure out how you can install this old BIOS version though..
any help would be great.

Thanks.

No need to reverse the code... the InsydeFlash utility always let me go backwards.. (even though it said it wasn't going to.. )

I've got a copy of all the bios versions available on my site as well...
http://www.linuxkidd.com/c3500/

Just the one file that contains all the bios's and utiltities w/ instructions.

Re: New C3500 BIOS Has a Problem! Need to revert!

Tech support wouldn't help me with my 6100. The restore software wasn't even installed on my averatec. They won't send me a recovery disk so I have to mail it in to them.

Waste of my time. They were pretty friendly when they weren't helping.
