hibernation resume problems.

When i'm trying to resume from hibernation it locks up! Is there any known fix for this or is anybody having a problem with this? Should I consider exchanging it for another one? Do you think there will be a fix for it with the new bios update that Averatec is planning to release? (When should we expect to see the new bios?)

I believe this is a known issue that is fixed by a patch on the Averatec website.

What patch? I see only a Login Fix under C3500. I just bought one and am having the same hibernation resume problem.

Thanks.

The logon patch worked fine for me. They should put a note saying that it also fixes the hibernation issue.

C3500 LoginFix

Bummer! I installed the Logonfix. It fixed the problem of the system trying to autologon to Administrator but did nothing about the resume from hibernation.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

C3500 Hibernation Resume Problem ...

Just got this answer from Averatec;

Dear Gary,

The problem is a known issue with the C3500 and XP SP2. The problem should be fixed in the next BIOS release. I don't have an ETA on when it is going to be released at this time.

Thank You,

Robert West

I wonder ...

If you make a BIOS change to the default and turn off power management then will the hibernation work properly? At the same time, try to disable the wireless and see if that works.

i sw this before i applied the patch. its a silly error, theres an error window hidden behind the welcome screen. you can try "alt-tab" if you havent tried the patch.
