I think your question is very interesting. Many users tend to gloss over the FSB, clockspeed, and other typical desktop issues because we are really interested in how quickly a Tablet PC boots up, how fast does an application open, how many applications can I keep open, and other types of
application using questions. However, I'm starting to think there is a potentially large market of people who would liike to know the technical end of these Tablet PCs.
The Averatec C3500 uses the
Mobile AMD Athlon™ XP-M 2200+. It is a 32-bit microprocessor. The best
comparison chart of AMD processors I've found shows the frequency to be 1.8 GHz. Now AMD forums has great technical guides, such as an explanation of
Front Side Bus in which the author describes how to calculate both effective and physical (core) clockspeed. The author states,
