Question Anyone try Mind Manager X5 yet?

I was wondering if anyone has tried using Mind Manager X5 on the Averatec 3500 yet. This would be my primary application for a Tablet and your feedback would be much appreciated!

Cheers!
Pat

Yes, I am using it now. It works very well (IMHO). I am surprised at how well the program recognizes my scratchy handwriting... I'd say it runs at about 95% accuracy. It is nice to be able to write an outline, then convert the Ink to Text, and voila, a nice map!

I have it installed as well...

I went ahead and followed my instincts and bought an Averatec and transfered my MindManager X5 Pro over to it. I too am very pleased with how it works. I used it today to take notes in a project status review meeting while projecting my screen on a wall. All worked well and recieved many oh's and ah's. I have upgraded my Averatec memory to 1 gig and have noticed that MindManager does bog down my system a bit, but not enough to complain about. My main gripe with the Averatec is the keyboard. It does not seem to be very 'touch typist' friendly. I really have to hammer the keys, especially the space bar.

I'm tempted to start suggesting 1 GB for new Tablet PC purchases. As people start to use their Tablet PCs they will find it best to keep applications open all of the time. For example, I try to keep GoBinder, PlanPlus for Windows XP, Internet Explorer (several windows) and MS Word 2003 open all of the time. Sometimes I have other browsers going too. I then open other applications as they are needed ... PowerPoint, Photoshop, Visual Studio, etc.
