I bought a T1000 when they first came out, but I'm thinking of transitioning to the Acer 314. I like what I read about the Acer having a built-in optical drive and it has a larger 14.1 screen size. However, I liked the T1000 because the way it is designed keeps direct heat off of your skin, and because it's screen is a type of glass and does not "give" when you press the tablet pen on it. How do you guys feel about the screen surface of the Acer 314? Are you having problems with the unit getting too hot for comfort? Are there any other features that you liked or disliked about it that I should be aware of when making my decision?

I don't have the 314, I have the CMT204TMi, the Travelmate C200 but I imagine they use the same glass (maybe not though, just wanted to add my two cents). I haven't noticed any give on the glass at all.

As far as heat on my C200 it's a little warm but not too bad. I don't have to have a pillow seperating my skin from the blazing hot bottom of it. It also helps that my model has the fabric screen cover that folds over though I could use it without it and not have a problem.
