| acer c300 orientation flipping hello- I just purchased an Acer refurbished C300 model. Everything appears to be working fine except every now and again when I have it in tablet mode the screen orietation will flip from what I have it set as to the other setting. Sometimes it will then flip back after a short pause but most of the time it will stay in the other orientation or even flip back and forth multiple times before settling on one of the settings. This may not seem like a big problem becuase the rotate screen button is right on the front of the unit but I am planning on taking the tablet to school and using it to take notes during class. And when it starts flipping the professor is not going to wait on me to get my tablet back into the right orientation. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows of a possible solution or even cause. Thanks.      |

| Pattern Have you figured out any pattern to when it starts to flip? Heat, time on, Certain software package, etc. I'd be tempted to call Acer and ask what was refurbished - if digitizer then ask for another unit. Good luck and let us know. P.S. welcome to the world of Tablet PCs

| probably fixed Hello- I called Acer so far it seems to be fixed. They had me turn off the automatic screen rotation feature. It is under display properties-->settings-->advanced-->screen rotation. Hope this helps any else that has teh problem. -PaulM |
