View MediaCenter Files on Smartphone...?

Is it possible to remotely view MediaCenter files on my WM5 Smartphone?
Seems like syncing them is the only option, but maybe I've missed
something... Thanks!

RE: View MediaCenter Files on Smartphone...?

Chester,

Look at www.orb.com I use it with vista no problems. It allows you to stream
all your content from your vista MCE. It can even stream live TV although I
tend to only use it for music and videos. Streaming music works great but
video sometimes can pause it depends on how strong your signal is on your
phone. Good news is orb is free and apart from you smartphone you can use any
internet connected PC.

If you are just looking to get data files that is possible also, you can
pretty much browser anywhere on your netwrok.

It depends on several variables.

I use WebEx to access a WinXP system from a Cingular 8525.

There are free alternatives with lesser value,

In the DFW area, my Cingular connection is regularly providing 800+kbps to a
3mbps cable connection.

You definitely will want a unlimited data plan.

Another option is WebGuide4. See my recent review of WG4 in combination with
a Windows Mobile device here:

Orb sounds good -- will give it a try.

Ouch, sorry to hear and pretty weird. Have WG4 running on 2 machines before
with XP and now with Vista and never had such a strange problem.
Anyway, Orb is a great alternative as well and if it comes to stream music,
it's even better. :-)
