Porting data from Treo 600 to Treo 700

A friend has upgraded from Palm Treo 600 to Windows Treo 700. She will
give me the Treo 600--but I have to figure out how to port her data from
the 600 to the 700. I'm pretty good at tech stuff, but I've never had a
smartphone. I have Windows-based PDAs. Is there an easy solution to
port the data from the Palm 600 to the Windows 700 Treo?

A few years ago my boss came to me with a Treo 600 with a similar
request. It was the first time I had a treo in my hands. I remember
creating a csv file from the palm sync program on my desktop and then
importing the file into outlook. Try this and let me know.

easiest way is probably by synching both. on her machine, get her to
synch 600 with outlook. then install ms activesync and synch outlook
with the 700. job done...

You can use Chapura's Pocket Mirror to sync the Treo 600 with Outlook.
Palm Outlook conduit is compatible with the Treo 650 only.
Pocketmirror is not free.

Aha, didn't realise that. Pretty much all the 600's I've seen in the
UK were bundled with Pocket Mirror from the phone company...

You are lucky. When my boss came to me with his Treo, he did not have
the CD.
