| Trouble connecting to intranet sites via my smartphone I am having trouble connecting to intranet sites with my windows mobile v5 smartphone. I can connect to internet site though. My desktop computer can connect to both intranet & internet sites. Both my smartphone and desktop are using the same wireless router. To ensure that my cellphone is using the wireless router for internet connectivity, I have disabled GPRS on my cellphone. Anyone know what I need to do to fix my cellphone? Tim |

| Re: Trouble connecting to intranet sites via my smartphone I justed checked my Windows Mobile2003 PocketPC, and it can connect to my intranet. It is just my Windows Mobile 2005 smartphone that cannot connect to my intranet. Since you haven't rcvd a reply, if your cell phone supports Wi-Fi, see if you can connect to the Internet via that method. You didn't mention if the intranet is an enterprise LAN or personal LAN. If enterprise, check with IT to see if they block logins by browser type. If allowed, they double the number of support calls as employees try to access data and services from cellular devices. Passing those 1st two tests, I'd guess it's in the Start/Settings/Connections. That area has been such a source of pain for me over the last 3 years, I avoid all changes on that page. As for comparing services under 2003 vs 2005. My 2003 TV allowed setting the auto turn on by day, channel and time. The more expensive 2005 TV turns on at one time/channel EVERY day. Features are not always carried forward. |

| Re: Trouble connecting to intranet sites via my smartphone Yes, Wi-FI is turned on and supported by my smartphone and, yes, it is a personal LAN. It is nice, you feel my pain, but anyone have an idea what setting I have set incorrectly?
