| Error sincing with Exchange My desktop (Vista RTM) is part of a Domain (SBS 2003 R2); it seems there is no way to sync my I-Mate SP5 with Exchange. If I set the phone to sync with the desktop everything works fine but if I change the settings to sync with Exchange I always get either a generic "Sync error" or "The server could not be reached. This can be caused by temporary network conditions.". With reference to the latter note that the server is connected and accessible. Thanks in advance Stefano |

| Re: Error sincing with Exchange Unless your Exchange Server is setup for SSL, try going into ActiveSync's "Configure Server" menu and unchecking the "This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection". I haven't installed SSL for use with OWA, OMA, or RPC over HTTP, so Exchange ActiveSync wouldn't work until I unchecked this box. | Re: Error sincing with Exchange Thanks for the advice and apology for the delay to get back to you. I tried to uncheck the SSL option but no luck. I have some other issue with the server so the culprit of Smartphone one might be server related. I will re-install SBS 2003 and see. Thanks again Stefano "Hal Hostetler [MVP P/I]" <hhh@kvoa.com> wrote in message news:equNOgHVHHA.1364@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Unless your Exchange Server is setup for SSL, try going into ActiveSync's > "Configure Server" menu and unchecking the "This server requires an > encrypted (SSL) connection".
