| Using Exchange for eMail and PC for Contacts: How do I do it? i don't know if my problem is unique or not, but after doing some preliminary research at places like howard's forum and here, i had to ask the question....i am new to WM5 (i have the cingular 8525) so please bear with me: - i am using activesync 4.2 - i am a consultant, so i use the email account at the client (they use exchange server) for push to my mobile - i don't want to use exchange server for my contacts as i have personal info that i would not want synced to my client's server - in my outlook client, i have a local copy of my contacts - i know there is the setting where you specify the source of the information for each "type" (contacts, calendar, email, etc) in activesync...i picked "my pc" assuming that it would use the local copy of my contacts to sync with, but it continues to pull the contacts from the exchange server help! |

| Re: Using Exchange for eMail and PC for Contacts: How do I do it? On my PPC-6700, I can select which folders I want to sync with our Exchange Server. For me, this setting is in ActiveSync under 'Menu|Configure Server' and is the third screen in the series. YMMV as I've learned the menu structure between the various models of PPC Phone Edition and Smartphone are anything but uniform.
