RE: Vista/Windows Mobile Device Center doesn't recognize Samsung Black

Resolved the issue today by deactivating LiveOne firewall, then it recognized
it and it automatically enabled the firewall again...

Now even Internet Sharing works at outstanding 3G speeds - great!

Good call BlackJackUser!

Where you using ActiveSync to connect with the BlackJack?

For others that may be reading this post, ActiveSync Versions 4.x and
above us TCP/UDP ports to communicate so the following ports and
process need to be authorized with any firewall or spyware software
that may be running on your PC:

Ports:
- 990 (RAPI)
- 999 (Status)
- 5721 (DTPT)
- 5678 (Legacy Replication)
- 5679 (Handshake & Legacy Replication)
- 26675 (Airsync)

Processes:

- Wcescomm.exe
- Rapimgr.exe
- CEAPPMGR.exe

Usually the firewall will ask the user if they wish to allow
communication on these ports, however if a user selects the wrong
option it may close the ports instead of opening them.
