First would be to eliminate the obvious. Did you install the required sync software? Connecting a Windows Mobile-based device like the i760 requires Activesync 4.5 for XP PCs or Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista PCs. There are no "standalone" drivers for Windows Mobile devices- the drivers are incorporated in the appropriate sync software. |

| Re: problem loading modem drivers for samsung i760 Yes, I've installed Activesync 4.5. | Re: problem loading modem drivers for samsung i760 Did you ever, by chance, plug in the device _before_ you installed Activesync? That might cause a driver problem if Windows attempted to install a "best fit" driver instead of having access to the real thing. With the device plugged in, you might go to device manager on the PC and delete any "Windows Mobile" (or "Generic RNDIS") devices you see there, then unplug the device, reboot, then reconnect hoping it loads the drivers the AS 4.5-provided drivers "fresh" and reinstalls the device. I'm not intimately familiar with the i760. Does it offer a "mass storage mode" or "USB drive" mode to use the device as a flash memory drive? If so, you'd have to put it back in "Activesync mode" to get it to sync. Reinstalling AS 4.5 might also reinstall the drivers if, for some reason, they're missing or corrupted.
