| Motorola Q, QSTARZ Bluetooth GPS and MS Streets and Trips 2006 I purchased my Motorola Q last November. I recently started playing with applications. I purchased an external bluetooth GPS and installed my Pocket Streets and Trips 2006 software on the cell phone. When I try to start the GPS in the Pocket Streets and Trips 2006 software, I receive the message "This phone does not contain the Microsoft Bluetooth manager, which is required to connect a Bluetooth GPS device". Obviously, the Bluetooth Manager is there...that's how I paired the phone up with the Bluetooth GPS in the first place...as well as with my Bluetooth earpiece. I installed several other GPS software demos, including Mapopolis, Virtual Earth Mobile and Efficasoft GPS Utilities for Smartphone v1.2. All of these find the Bluetooth GPS without issue, though I do have to tell the last one to specifically use Com1 at 9600 bps. I did try updating the Q through Motorola (http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto...0Data%20Cable). This made no difference. Any idea as to why Streets and Trips 2006 shouldn't work with my Bluetooth GPS on the Q? Here are the receiver's specs: * Model: BT-Q795 * SiRF Star III powered * 20-Channel tracking * 10 meter wireless transmitting range * High sensitivity - 159dBm Thank you in advanced, Tom Kemp |

| Re: Motorola Q, QSTARZ Bluetooth GPS and MS Streets and Trips 2006 Stick with the one of those you liked best. All you get from Pocket Streets is a dot that tells you where you are when coupled with any GPS. Not sure what the message is telling you but I can tell you that Pocket Streets has always expected the NMEA data to come in at 4800, not 9600. No way to change it either. Don't know if you can change it on your GPS. That may be the underlying issue, and the error message just an indication of the typical usefulness of MS error messages. -- Sven MVP - Mobile Devices "Tom Kemp" <tNtKemp********.com> wrote in message news:ek35uHuNHHA.4720@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > I installed several other GPS software demos, including Mapopolis, Virtual > Earth Mobile and Efficasoft GPS Utilities for Smartphone v1.2.
