no luck playing wav files under WM5

I am looking for suggestions on playing WAV files on my smartphone under the
WM5. I can receive WAV files of my voice messages on my smartphone. When I
click on the file (whether it is in the email message or saved to memory) a
player control pops up. I click play, but nothing happens. I even tried the
media player and it will not play the wav files.

Any suggestions on getting this to work?

Sounds like a 3p app is needed. Any suggestions?

There is at least one ppc player with the ability to play the cisco
(ulaw) codecs but I don't know of any smartphone since I do not use this
platform.

Re: no luck playing wav files under WM5

(When I find one) is it possible to make a 3P application the default WAV
player on my ppc?

The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP)
http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/

But I cannot connect to that site at the moment :-(

You can download for instance here:
http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/

Google? I still have no problem using the second mentioned site.
Click on "0.71", then I believe "tcpmp.smartphone.0.71.exe" is
for you, no problem downloading.

Otherwise use Google to find other download locations. This
is a bit work as most pages link to corecodec.org, which truly
seams to be unavailable, but nobody said it is easy...

Re: no luck playing wav files under WM5

many apps give you the option of setting file associations... if not,
there are "tweaks" programs which do the same.

Re: no luck playing wav files under WM5

Hi, they have change their web domain. Try to reach them at
http://www.corecodec.com/
BTW, TCPMP is no longer supported and now has become a commercial product.
Last free public available version was (I think) 0.72RC1 that you can
find here http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ (source code also)

Best regards.
