I'm using:

Microsoft Outlook 2003
ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2
Windows Mobile 5.0
Motorola Q
Verizon Wireless


Notes that are created or edited in Outlook for a contact or for an
appointment on the desktop do NOT sync to windows mobile (I realize
that Notes don't directly sync with Smartphone unless using Phatnotes,
OneNote, etc). Incidentally, notes for appts or contacts created on
the Q do sync back to Outlook on the desktop. I know this issue has
been mentioned before, but a solution does not seem to have been
generated so I'm bringing it to everyone's attention again just to keep
it on the radar.

I don't believe the Smartphone edition of WM5 supports this. I
purchased a program called SmartphoneNotes that does a good job of
syncing with Outlook
