| how to see the SIM contacts on the BackJack: i found it! after two weeks i finally found how to see my SIM contacts on the BlackJack. this should be the default setting of ALL smartphones, but it is not (why???). since many people have reported having the same problem, here is the solution: Ready? take a deep breath... Home > Start > Settings > Wireless Manager > Menu > Phone Settings > Call Options > Show SIM Contacts! i don't think you can reach this setting in any shorter path :) hey!!! |

| Re: how to see the SIM contacts on the BackJack: i found it! however there is no options in the MSFT Contact application to copy a contact from the SIM to the phone and vice versa - two options that are available in my basic old Nokia. The "Menu > Copy Contact" just duplicates a contact, but it it was on the SIM, the copy is also on the SIM. On my old nokia, editing the contact and adding other data than just one phone number will automatically copy the contact in the phone. on Smartphone, there is no such feature. :( "The PocketTV Team" <support@pockettv.com> wrote in message news:%23DmZYEfJHHA.3264@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > after two weeks i finally found how to see my SIM contacts on the > BlackJack. > > this should be the default setting of ALL smartphones, but it is not > (why???). > > since many people have reported having the same problem, here is the > solution: > > Ready? take a deep breath... > > Home > Start > Settings > Wireless Manager > Menu > Phone Settings > Call > Options > Show SIM Contacts! > > i don't think you can reach this setting in any shorter path :) > > hey!!! > |

| Re: how to see the SIM contacts on the BackJack: i found it! Getting to the sim manager varies by phone... on mine, for example, it is (was) in the program folder You should also be able to call it up from contact/tools/sim-manager Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

| Re: how to see the SIM contacts on the BackJack: i found it! This is a change which I believe was introduced in AKU3 - the SIM and device contacts are shown together in alphabetical order rather than effectively being separate lists. However as you have stated common tasks like copy from sim to device, or device to sim are missing, and yet these are features on some of the most basic phones. | Re: how to see the SIM contacts on the BackJack: i found it! I'm not sure about access from the contacts listview itself, but if you open up the contact in question (either sim or device) isn't there then a menu option to save it to the other type? I haven't played with blackjack in particular, but to the best of my knowlege as long as you are showing SIM items (as you set with your original post) you should have these from the contact card. Also, this might not apply to blackjack but on most Smart Phones you can shorten your path to start -> settings -> phone -> call options.
