Transfer info from old sd card to new sd card for WM5 smartphone

I have a T-mobile SDA which has a 1GB mini sd card. I have a lot of programs
and info on the card and I want to transfer it to a new 2GB card. I tried a
straight copy from the old card to the new card but it did not work. Is
there a special procedure to do this because I don't want to reinstall all
my programs. Help please!!!

Did you name the new card the same as the old one?

Also when you transfered the data did you show all hidden files before
copying?

Could you be more specific as to what "did not work" means? I've copied
my SD cards many times when upgrading capacity and never had a problem.

No special procedure I'm aware of- I just copy and go.
