| Cingular: no wireless activesync with SBS2003! This is the message I received earlier today from a Support Supervisor at Cingular. I know this gentlemen is mistaken but maybe not. Can someone at MS contact me to get the particulars so it can be passed on to a program/product manager for Mobile5? "Currently none of our e-mail solutions support Small Business Server for direct message push to the devices; so no matter which device model you get from us, the solution will not work" |

| Re: Cingular: no wireless activesync with SBS2003! Exchange server has push email options... I'll let others fill in the details since I don't use it, but you can effectively do the same by setting your pop3 account to check email on a regular interval. In addition, SMS (text messaging) is "push" and you can receive two line plain text messages from any email sender if they address it to your phone number (numbers only) @CingularME.com for example 1234567890@CingularME.com Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

| Re: Cingular: no wireless activesync with SBS2003! Cingular's email solutions may not work, however, they shouldn't enter into it; syncing with an Exchange Server is between Windows Mobile ActiveSync and the Exchange Server. I have an Alltel PPC6700 (WM5) and Exchange Server "push" works just fine; I must comment that I don't use the push feature because it has a dramatic effect on battery life, I have ActiveSync set to check every half hour.
