MotoQ: ActiveSync with Home Computer Over VPN

Has anyone successfully gotten a Moto Q (or other WM-5 phone) to sync
with a home computer (i.e., no Exchange Server) over VPN?

After some effort, I've been able to establish the VPN connection and
access web pages and other resources on my computer. But the phone
still can't find its ActiveSync partner.

It seems that previous versions of Windows Mobile had a setting in
ActiveSync for remote synchronization. Someone in an earlier thread
described a choice for MENU | OPTIONS | PC SETTINGS, 'Include PC sync
remotely when synchronizing'. I don't have this setting on my phone.

If anyone has gotten this to work, I'd love to know how.

Thanks.

I think Microsoft removed the remote synchronization from the newer
versions of ActiveSync. That feature is no longer available.
