As I've said before, the only iPhone app I've been jealous of was the
Pandora radio app.

For those unfamiliar with Pandora (http://www.pandora.com), it's a free
desktop streaming audio service that allows you to create custom, themed
"radio stations" by selecting artists or songs you like, and it matches
other songs or artists based on the "genomes" of those you selected. As
songs play you can give them thumbs up or down to further define your
tastes.

Unfortunately, copyright licensing issues restrict use of Pandora to the
United States only.

Officially, Pandora currently supports a few models of Windows Mobile
phones from Sprint and Verizon, but some kind folks at PPCGeeks.com made
the app available for downnload and use on other Windows Mobile 5 and
above-based models. The touchscreen version is available here:

A non-touchscreen version originally built for the Motorola Q is also
floating around the interwebs.

Pandora is a free service that usually makes their money by linking to
Amazon's MP3 download of songs being played with a "buy" button, and
presumably getting a commission on songs purchased. For the WinMo
version they're apparently trying an ad-banner supported model instead.
My 60's bubblegum pop channel I'm grooving to currently is apparently
being brought to me by Windows Vista... ;-)
