unlocked samsung blackjack II data connection error

hi

i have a samsung blackjack II unlocked (originally running wm 6) which
was working perfectly. i upgraded to the wm 6.1 version through
samsung's website and followed all instructions. upgrade also went
fine. after the upgrade, i was able to make/receive phone calls using
other sims (non-atnt's) but was unable to connect to gprs. i am in
India, i bought the phone from US and paid for the unlock. the fact
that i am able to make phone calls means it should be partially
atleast unlocked. but the fact that whenever i connect with gprs, i
get the error "remote party ended connection" means that gprs portion
is still locked.

fyi- (i use vodafone connect) the gprs settings preset in the gprs
menu are all of atnt, medianet, etc. they all show a 'lock' symbol
next to them and the 'edit/delete' options are greyed out. i added my
local settings for using the vodafone's connection but i get the error
'remote party ended connection'.

any thoughts on what i should do? hack/unlock? software? upgradation
problem?

thanks in advance,

Kunal

You might try MoDaCo.com thay have a program that unlocks your GPS and sets
a COM port so other programs can use it.
