| samsung i320 smartphone I bought my samsung i320 in the UK and it is supposed to work anywhere in the world. On a recent visit to the states, i could not get a connection at all. I tried searching fora connection manually and when it located connections, it said I had to check with teh provider. I phoned my provider, TMobile, and d they did not seem to know what to do. They said that my phone must not work in the states. I am sure it should, but I do not know how to get a connection. Can anyone help me? The phone works fine in Europe. |

| Re: samsung i320 smartphone The US uses different GSM frequencies, while the rest of the world (except for US and some countries in Latin America) uses 900 and 1800 MHz, the US uses 850 and 1900 MHz. Your phone is Triband GSM and supports GSM900/GSM1800/GSM1900, so it should work in the parts of the US in which GSM 1900 is available. In other parts, where you can find only GSM 850, it will not work.
