| Is there such thing as HOSTS file on Windows Mobile I have a Motorola Q (original) with the latest patch firmware. I am able to connect to my work over a VPN connection I setup and sync with my Exchange 2003 server fine an connect to one or two other computers, but I can't seem to get to the rest of them by computer name. When I open IE and change the connection to Work I can get to the computers by IP address, but naturally this can be a pain to remember. Most of the things I need to get to have static IPs so it is not all that big a deal to maintain a HOSTS file, but I am not sure where to put it on WM5. |

I'm not aware of a Hosts file, but you could use "Favorites" to store the addresses "Menu > Add to Favourites" to save, or "Menu > Favourites" to recall. -- WH |

| Re: Is there such thing as HOSTS file on Windows Mobile Used to be third party solutions to this. One is at http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...roductId=54305 Worked quite well. Don't know of any that specifically indicate they work with current versions of the OS, but I didn't look at all the hits for a 'PocketPC hosts file' web search. -- Sven MVP Mobile Devices "William" <william@lowerknowle.com> wrote in message news:832b7a0b-24b6-4a6f-a23d-05e619e9726f@t54g2000hsg.googlegroups.com...
