daylight saving problem

My HTP P3600 on wm6 won't stay on the correct time for daylight saving.
South Australia won't be going off DST until next weekend, so I think
it's got something to do with that.

It 'updated' on Sunday (taking the DST off), so I set DST back on.
My pc running XP pro has also been returned to DST as well.
When I sync the HTC, the time gets sync'ed to DST, and not the clock.
i.e. my PC is now 11:57 pm correct SA time (on Daylight saving)
my HTC is 11:57 pm
If I hook up to the PC, after the sync is finished, my HTC will go to
10:57 pm.

I turned off my ADSL modem, to see if it was picking up an internet
clock, but it made no difference.

If I sync from Activesync on the PC it doesn't change, but if I
disconnect the HTC and re-connect, then it changes.

What gives? (it's a PITA as it is)

Is your mobile operator overriding the time and time zone settings? Go to
Start/Settings/Phone and look for a "Time Zones" tab and then uncheck the
"Automatically change time zone and clock" box.

Hopefully now your set time will stay put.

Sorry, no "time zones" tab under the phone settings.
Gotta go, back in 10 minutes

....or an hour and 10 minutes, depending on which device you check! ;-)

Some mobile operators hide the Time Zone tab. If you have a registry
editor on the device, check HKLM/Software/OEM/PhoneSetting for a key called
"ShowTimeZonesPage" and change the value from"0" to "1", w
it a few seconds, reboot and look for the TZ tab again.
