timeout for device unlock

We have a lot of MS smartphones, and we apply a central device lock policy (4
digit PIN after 5 minutes of idle) on them all.

One of our senior managers (why does it always have to be a senior manager?)
complains that they have accessibility issues, because the timeout when they
try to unlock the screen on their device (a Treo 500) is too short for them
to press the buttons. For example, as they type the four digit PIN required,
if they have a gap of longer than about 3 seconds between button presses, the
screen blanks.

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend this timeout from 3 seconds to
say 10 seconds?

Thanks in advance

Eric

Re: timeout for device unlock

I thought that it was up to OEM power management setting, not Windows Mobile
general configuration.
OEM could adjust backlight off time for unlock input screen.
You may make it used by S2U2
(http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Sy...U2-52386.shtml)
that application lock/unlock tool with LCDOff setting.
But I couldn't confirm it may resolve your problem.

Thanks,
-Keon
