Hello:

I am trying to find out the expected behavior of new SMS notificiation on WM
6.0 smartphone. I noticed that on PocketPC new SMS is displayed with a small
window with text in it with audible alert. However, on smartphone, I see
only new text message count on UI getting incremented.

Is this an expected behavior or something is missing.

You normally get an audible alert (but this is configurable by the user) and
the right Soft-key on the Home screen will change to a shortcut to view the
message.

I've created a free app, that, along with other things, shows bubble
notification on incoming text message..

It's now in test phase, so, contact me on saman(at)saman-cz(dot)com, if
want to give it a try..
