Vista 64-bit and Smartphones

Greetings! I am considering the purchase of a new smartphone with Windows
Mobile 6. My laptop has Vista Ultimate (64-bit). This will be my first
smartphone and I would like to know if there are any issues I need to be
aware of in regards to syncing the phone with Vista 64-bit. I have a Palm PDA
and there are currently no 64-bit drives for syncing it. Will I have this
same problem with a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone or is the connectivity built
into Windows in such a way that the 64-bit does not matter? How do the Mobile
6 phone sync? Is it through USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi? Do I need to be worried
about carrier (e.g., Verizon, AT&T) not being 64-bit compatible or does the
fact that both devices are running Windows eliminate that problem?

I certainly would appreciate any good advice and insight you could give me
on this issue so that I can make the right decision.

Thanks in advance!

Kevin

Re: Vista 64-bit and Smartphones

Yes, you can sync your data with Windows Mobile smartphone (actually now we
called Windows Mobile Standard) by Windows Mobile Device Center(WMDC)
instead of ActiveSync. WMDC designed for Windows Vista.

Also WMDC support Windows Vista (64bit), so you could download Microsoft web
site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

And you could sync data through WiFi, USB and Bluetooth.

Re: Vista 64-bit and Smartphones

Actually you cannot sync to a computer via WiFi. However you could synch
with the Exchange Server if you connect it at work.
