| WM5 Voice Recorder- Change Default file Locations Hello, I am running Windows Mobile 5 on the Cingular 3125 Smartphone and was wondering if I can change the default location where my voice recorder sound files are stored because it keeps running out of disk space. I bought an additional chip for additional storage and want to save my sound files there. Is this a Registry change? |

Go into "Notes"; at the file listing screen (i.e. before you open a note), tap "Menu" > "Options"; in the "Options" screen, set "Save to" to "Storage Card"; tap "OK". -- WH |

Whoops, sorry - those instructions are for a touchscreen. You may be able to adapt them to the smartphone (I don't have one of those to hand). -- WH |

| Re: WM5 Voice Recorder- Change Default file Locations Hello William, I have "Voice Notes" and not "Notes". When I go into "Voice Notes" and hit menu I do not see "options". I only see "Play", "Record", "rename" , "Delete". and "set as Ringtone". I wish I could save my files to my storage card. Any ideas? -Andy "William" wrote: > On 12 Jan, 20:47, Andy <A...@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > Hello, I am running Windows Mobile 5 on the Cingular 3125 Smartphone and was > > wondering if I can change the default location where my voice recorder sound > > files are stored because it keeps running out of disk space. Notes only allows 1 minute of recording. I too would like to know how to put the Voice Recorder files on the storage card. Anyone? |

| Re: WM5 Voice Recorder- Change Default file Locations You might want to consider using alternate apps; for example, VITO AudioNotes or Resco Audio Recorder. They both work just great on the MS Smartphone. I downloaded VITO AudioNotes and installed it on my T-Mobile Dash and it works great. This will be the best $7 I ever spent! Note to others, one of the links will say it does not work on a T-Mobile Dash but the latest download page does not mention that it does not work on a T-Mobile Dash. I can confirm, it does indeed work on a T-Mobile Dash (V1.32). Werner thanks again and I am now a convert to your blog! |
