File/folder name where contacts are stored in qtek (htc)?

Changing from my old Qtek S100 to a HTC TyTN, I am in need of finding
out exactly where my contact lists are stored to make a back-up. Does
anybody know the filename or folder name containing my contacts?

After many crashes with data loss I do not trust the regular back-up
features and wish to do this manually instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

All best

It's stored in pim.vol in the device's root, butbacking up that file and
restoring it doesn't work- apparently there are unknown index files
elsewhere that the device uses to "decode" pim.vol.

Google for PIMbackup. It works very well and it's free. It backs up just
the PIM data- not the entire device.
