| Smartphone VPN help So it is pretty easy to creat the VPN connection in WM6, but how do I instantiate it? I want to sync with my Exchange server over an MS PPTP VPN... sadly 443 is not open from the outside. Compared to the PPC world, the interface for doing this is terrible. I can't find any option to just "connect" and AS will only connect to Exchange via the "Internet" setting not "Work". The VPN connection has to and from settings... I want to go to Work, but am I connecting from the Interent or Cellular? I can't believe all these settings are for looks. Someone must have successfully set up a VPN connection on WM5 or WM6 Smartphone and then accessed ActiveSync this way. Any Help is greatly appreciated. |

| Re: Smartphone VPN help Some more information: I can use unqualified netbios names in IE and connect over the VPN. If I use a fully qualified domain name though, I get a "page not found". Even though I have add the wildcard "*.mydomain.com" in the Work URL exception list. Any help? | Re: Smartphone VPN help -- Me Too! Andy, I'm in exactly the same position. This all seemed to be pretty easy top set up on a PPC based WM5 phone but the WM6 smartphone version seems to be making quite a few assumptions that are not appropriate in our scenario. I have a deployment of WM on hold whilst we try to work around these issues. Can anyone point me to a plain english walk-through of configuring a WM6 SMartphone VPN setup such that Activesync will use it to connect to a Work network? I'm suprised at the lack of WM6 documentation available on this area. Regards, Stuart.
