We have a need in IRVING, Tx for 2 contract positions,
Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Senior Software Development Engineer $58-66 per hour

Enterprise Solutions, Mobility Solutions Unit. Design, develop, test
and maintain software for mobile solutions. Maintain an automated test
environment for the software under development. Collaborate with other
engineers working on the solution.

Main Responsibility Areas
Responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing and testing
in his/her project area. Has developed specialist knowledge in one
area. Works in a product creation project with responsibility of
specifying a component or multiple components of a product or several
products. Coaches other team members in solving engineering problems.
Solves complex engineering problems of own technology area. Typically
participates in reviews of own or neighbouring projects. May undertake
technical training responsibilities.

Scope
Individual Contributor: Variety of complex tasks within areas of
responsibility. Demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem
solving. Acts with independence & discretion in routine matters. Makes
decisions that affect own work. Managerial/Supervisory: May act as
Team Leader or Project Leader with some direct supervisory
responsibilities in addition to own work assignments.Variety of
complex tasks within area or responsibility. Demonstrates initiative &
contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion
in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work.

Individual portfolio
8 plus years relevant experience, fully competent.

-Symbian OS development knowledge
-MTM (Message Type Module) development experience
-Knowledge of OO (Object Oriented) design principles
-Experience developing software for an embedded system
-Technical familiarity with email protocols
-Fluent C++ knowledge

Environment
Performs day-to-day activities to meet departmental/project
objectives. Requires moderate supervision. Applies commonly
recognized.
