My memory is that on the Smartphone I had, I could set different ring
tones for different callers, but I can't seem to be able to do that in
my new Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC phone. Given that it is a common
functionality in a lot of cell phones, I'd be surprised if it turns out
that Windows Mobile 5 does not support this. I'd appreciate any
clarification on this. Thanks.

To assign a rington to a contact, open the contact on your phone. From
Menu, select Edit and scroll until you reach the Custom ring tone
field.
