AFAIK the Sony Ericsson M660i isn't based on Windows Mobile but on Symbian
UIQ? ;-)
This newgroups is about mobile phones running Microsoft's Windows Mobile
Smartphone OS.

Arne
As I understand the new Mobile terminology:
Smartphone = Mobile 6 Standard
PPC = " " Classic
Cellular PPC = " " Pro

Is this newsgroup restricted to Mobile 6 Standard?

At least that's what it was created for - for the non-touchscreen Windows
Mobile Smartphones - now called Windows Mobile 6 Standard.
For Windows Mobile 6 Professional - previously known as Pocket PC Phone
Edition - we had "microsoft.public.pocketpc.phone_edition" and for Windows
Mobile 6 Standard (initially named Pocket PC) we had
"microsoft.public.pocketpc" while "microsoft.public.pocketpc.wireless" was
for all other wireless related stuff (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc).

The current newsgroup names doesn't reflects the recent product renaming but
this was the initial idea.

Please note, I'm neither saying it's good nor bad - just trying to explain
how it was. Anyway - for the end user it's not as easy as it should be to
figure out which newsgroup is the right one to post a question. For instance
Palm is calling its (Pocket PC Phone Edition) Treo 750 a smartphone...
