does MSDN Virtual Lab work, ever?

I have been trying to "run" Windows Mobile 5: Developing Managed Applications
for Pocket PC and Smartphone Devices Virtual Lab. Virtual Lab is somehow
different from a video. I do not know how because I cannot run it. I've tried
three times. I register and then select proceed or whatever. A new instance
of IE comes up with some rotating gears, progress bars, and a "Creating
Virtual Lab...". That goes on and on... I waited for 30 minutes and it never
finished doing whatever it was doing. It never did tell me what it was doing
except "Creating Virtual Lab".
Am I doing something wrong. Has anybody ever seen it work correctly?
Thanks for your help.
