Activesync question please

When I plug in my Samsung Blackjack to my laptop Activesync starts
automatically, looks for changes & syncs them. Usually that's great.
Sometimes I would like you use the add/remove program feature or maybe just
explore before syncing. How can I get Activesync to stop once it starts
checking for changes? I do not see a stop or cancel function anywhere.
Help please.

Bob

Re: Activesync question please

I have the same attitude regarding controlling when sync-ing is performed
after connecting via ActiveSync. However, as best I can figure, that feature
was removed starting with Windows Mobile 5 devices. Older devices (WM2003
2nd Ed. and older) can still stop the sync or even set the option to only
sync-on-demand (press the Sync button on ActiveSync on the PC side).

Hello Bob,

What version of Activesync do you use? Version 4.5 has Sync/Stop
button. Pressing the stop button will create a connection and won't
sync your Smartphone.
Whatever the version of Activesync you have, you can simply start AS
on your Smartphone and press the Stop softkey when it start
synchronizing.
