| Can't contact my first domain controller via VPN on my Motorola Q I have a Windows 2000 domain. Two domain controllers both running DNS and syncing up fine. No issues with any remote 2000 or XP clients trying to access any resources on the network. I have setup and gotten a Motorola Q to VPN and Active Sync off of the Exchange server. Got it to work with every web server and web enabled device on the network. Got it to run VNC fine on every computer computer that I tried to contact. Everything works great except for one computer that seems to not respond to anything that this Motorola Q asks. If I try to connect to the web server on this one computer, the VPN will drop and then I get an error saying the server cannot be reached. If I try to fire up a VNC connection I am told that VNC could not connect to the server. If I try any of these things from any desktop (don't have another smart phone available) all the services work fine. It is just this one computer and my smartphone. I have even tried to reference the computer by IP with no luck. I have even thought that there might be some name confusion so I put in another DNS record with what I know is a probably a unique name and still cannot connect. The only thing that is kind of unique about this computer is that it was the first domain controller ever put on the network. When I ping my Pre-Win2k domain name "mydomain" from a PC in the network it returns this IP address and if I ping mydomain.com it also returns this IP. Any ideas? |
