I bought a TMobile Dash and had it unlocked (I'm in Toronto) - I would
like to make the upgrade to WM6, but I need a TMobile phone number to
do so.

Anyone know where I can get the WM6 upgrade, or how to get it without
a TMobile number? I'd like it to be legit, of course (I bought the
phone from them, after all), so if there's a way to do it without
hitting the P2P networks...

Here's a thought, may or not be worth it to you. And some idea's.

1. Do you have any friends on the US side who have 3g? If so, take a drive
down, borrow their SIM, get the download. (of course remburse them for data
air time if needed either with money, or take'm for dinner).. And just do
it there. Or just have them come up and see if you can do it with their
account.

2. Drive down, get a payasyougo TMobile sim and do it that way.


3. Get a US Tmobile account, grab the upgrade and cancel. At the most you
will pay a month or pro-rated for a partial month for service.

Comes down to how much its worth it to you..
