| Setting up Email accounts I have a HTC S710 with Windows Mobile 6 installed. I have successfully addded a number of Email accounts using the Start > Messagin > New E-mail Account option. If I now go into Messaging I have 9 listed (text message, Outlook Email, Gmail, Pop3 email 1, pop3 email 2, MMS, Pop3 email 4, and Windows Live). I no longer have the New E-mail Account option so can't add any more. Why would I have lost the option, How do I get it back? |

I can't see why there should be a limit on the number of accounts and if there is it would be good if someone actually documented in the program, (how hard is it just to display a message max email accounts reached) or in some documentation on the internet. I did have a look. Because it would be so easy to document I am assuming it is not a limit. I see that I said I have 9 emails created, in fact that was wrong I have 8. If someone with Mobile 6 has a bit of time and could try and add 8 and see if they still get the 'Add new Account' at least I will know I can delete one of my existing ones and add another one if need be. |

I believe you have reached your limit: "Due to some database limitation, number of e-mail accounts is restricted to 8. Most devices ship with 2-3 accounts preconfigured (Outlook, text messages etc). This means you can only have 5-6 additional accounts. Some T-Mobile phones actually ship with 4 pre-created accounts, the fourth being a TZones email account, so they'll only allow 4 more accounts. | Re: Setting up Email accounts Many thanks for that JasperM, saved me thinking it was a fault and possibly wasting a load of time trying to reload the software - Why can't they just have a simple message - maximum number of emails account exceeded, or grey out the New Email account option?
