This was the nomination thread.

It ran from December 19 until January 10. If you have a particular model that you believe should be nominated then I am not opposed to place it in the pool but you'll need to give a good reason for it being added.

Let us know.

By my calendar, and in my time -zone it is still January 10th so I would like to nominate the HP/Compaq TCll00.

You don't have to take my opinion of it , you can read about what PC Magazine thinks here,

the first link may not work for a few days but it has gotten great reviews. Also I have owned or examined very closely the HP/Compaq TC 1000 , Toshiba 3500 , and the Panasonic Toughbook , and the latest machine from HP is a clear winner.

Great versatility, wonderful design , it stands up well in real world situations (in my case-all day lectures as a presenter).

The field of view is wonderful, and this just means that it is truly useable in any situation I can imagine from walking around lecturing and sketching to lounging and loafing.

Is that enough to get it nominated?

Without a doubt, the Gateway 275 is the best for 2003. Beautiful LARGE screen (very useful when using TIP in Word). Integrated CDRW. 5.6 lbs. (not bad considering it's full functional - If you carry the Toshiba and its outboard CDRW, you're back to over 5 lbs. anyway).

Toshiba goes for the GOLD!

I believe Toshiba Tablet PC M200 is by far the best out there. I have been using mine for about 2 months and could not come up with a complaint. It is a little pricey, but worth it once you use it and fall in love with it. I am in college and this has become my virtual notebook.
