| Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 Hi, I have a countdown timer that is operated with the joystick. I'd like to map the function of the joystick to the volume button as follows: Volume Up = Joystick Up Volume down = Joystick Pressed Please, help. Thanks... |

| Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 this can be done under/within wmp player, but it works only when wmp is running... if there are other utilities, I'm sure others will post them. Note, on phone devices, the ppc audio and phone audio are different systems, so, if there is a hard volume control, the control cannot be remapped by the ppc side. | Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 1, it's WM5, not WM2003 2, give a try to SmartSKey (see my blog for more info). It MAY work on the hx6900 too. -- -- Werner "Menneisyys" Ruotsalainen - Microsoft MVP - Windows - Mobile Devices Please see the Pocket PC Mag Expert Blog (including mine) at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ - you will definitely like it. | Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 Well, I gave it a try, but the Windows didn't let the program to run, because it's a different system. The iPAQ is NOT running on WM5... Could you please send me a link to your blog. Thanks. | Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 Well, actually both hw 65xx and 69xx runs on WM2003SE as you might check out in here: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...reg_R1002_USEN Do you have any help for the WM2003? Can the SmartsKey be remodeled onto WM2003 as a lot of guys will surely appreciate it? Thanks a lot for your answers and help. | Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 1, are you sure it's a hw69xx series device at all? NO hw69xx devices were ever shipped with WM2003SE (proly some pre-production units maybe, but officially never ever). See http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=317 , http://www.pdagold.com/articles/detail.asp?a=286 and http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=151 for more info. 2, you may want to directly contact the author of SmartSKey on XDA-Developers for a WM2003SE port. -- -- Werner "Menneisyys" Ruotsalainen - Microsoft MVP - Windows - Mobile Devices Please see the Pocket PC Mag Expert Blog (including mine) at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ - you will definitely like it. | Re: Remap of Volume key on HP iPAQ hw6900 It's a hw6515, so sorry for the confusion in the title (69xx), but anyway. Both PDA phones are running on WM2003SE. The difference could be, that these are from US. Europe might have different specification... Thanks for your feedback. I'll try to find out on the XDA developers...
