SPB Finance is Nuts about Activesync-ing...

I just loaded the trial for SBP Finance - grat app and all, much
better than Money for the PPC, but.....

Every few minutes, after going out to the internet, doing whatever on
the PC, AS restarts while the PPC is connected and starts syncing
again, taking forever to complete - like minutes when it used to be 20
seconds. AS takes much processing power while running and everything
slows to a crawl.

This happened ever since loaded SPBF.

Anyone have similar issues? How did you resolve?

I use WM5 on an HP 6925 and AS 4.1

That can happen. When you install you should change it to manual. Then you
have the control and is better.

Thanks. I did change it to 'Manual' and I'm going to see if this
changes things. However, I'm not so sure now that it is an Sbp Finance
related issue anymore but moreso AS 4.1 itself. What made me notice
it? - I suspect Sbp since that was the last app I installed. However,
I started doing some testing and I see that every time I open a web
browser and close, the AS syncs. Also, when I went out to play a song
in Windows Media Player, AS syncs. What these actions are initiating a
sync, dont know yet. I think what I'm seeing is the longer timespan in
synching now that Spb Finance is installed. That is why I relate Spb
to the issue. It definitely takes longer with that app, naturally.

I checked the AS "options" section to ensure that I'm not doing
anything unusual and it looks normal. Nothing spectacular to sync -
Calendar, contacts, inbox, etc. Same as before Spb when I never
noticed the delays.

This is really major for me because the performance hit on my laptop
when synching is tremendous.

Any ideas or comments on AS 4.1 sync issues or bugs are appreiated. I
think there is a AS 4.2 version - maybe I should try that update. If
only I could initiate the entire sync process on-demand rather than on-
connect this may be a work-around until I figure this out.
