| Insurance I recently purchased a Sprint Pocket PC. I know that Sprint offers insurance for $6.00 per month - I really don't know the details of that insurance, deductible, coverage, etc - but before I sign up for Sprint's insurance I would like to know if there are any 'independent' insurances for cell phones. I checked with my homeowner insurer and they only cover fire, theft, etc. the normal perils for a structure and my deductible is $1000.00 so that's not an answer. If any one has been able to insure their 'smart device' with other than the service provider I would really like to know about the details. Thanks, Sue |

| Re: Insurance Does Sprint use Asurion? That is what most vedors use. They never deal with this stuff directly, they pass it on to Asurion for the coverage. On Verizon it is 5 bucks a month I believe, and it is a 50 dollar deductible. No guarantees whether you get a new or refurbished phone. I think it is a pretty good deal for expensive PDAs, but not for the smaller cheaper phones. Never used a private company myself. -- Edgar "Sue" <smontague@mcgoldrick.net> wrote in message news:Ymvth.35361$QU1.29342@newssvr22.news.prodigy. net... >I recently purchased a Sprint Pocket PC. HI Sue, Have you considered your own household contents insurance if you have some? Some insurance providers do cover you for loss or damage of personal items while out and about. |
